A safe and responsible return to travel

Due to the impact of COVID-19, we've made several reconfigurations and updates to our health & safety guidelines.

Now we are implementing new minimum global standardized protocols that emphasize health, hygiene, and sanitation. Aligned with recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and following the World Travel & Tourism Council’s (WTTC) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Safe Travel protocols for tour operators.

We have been focusing on safety, comfort & health services since always, and now more than ever. We have passed all of our itineraries through a comprehensive audit & comprehensive risk assessment.

Most of our staff (from tour leaders, local guides, office workers and drivers) to our chain of suppliers, have completed the COVID-19 health and safety training and they were already vaccinated.

For us nothing is static; everything changes, and we are always in constant evolution, according to today’s top world travel needs.

Also, we work to ensure our supplier partners (hotels, restaurants, archeological sites, etc.) are also applying the same standard to these new normalities.

The recently trained and certified in enhanced hygiene and social distancing standards (with the latest health authority and local government guidelines) are monitoring compliance and travelers well-being. Your tour leader is responsible for checking that all hotels, restaurants, and other venues you visit on your journey meet these new standards.

Recently trained and certified in ensuring that your transportation is hygienically taken care of, disinfecting all coach surfaces, and managing the luggage (ensuring all handles are sanitized during loading and unloading) throughout the trip.

Besides your professional on the road dedicated dream team, your operation department always remains behind the scenes, just a text message or a call away.

If an incident arises, the safe travels & well-being protocols are ready to go. We’ll assist you and support you (with the local medical authorities & test) every step of the way.

Distancing & Hygiene Protocols:

All travelers who wish to travel to Central America must fill out the online health declaration of the country they want to visit.

Each country in the region is very different from each other according to its regulations.

It is very important that you know that you do not have to quarantine in any Central American country.

-If you are already vaccinated (with both doses), excellent! You only have to present the vaccination certificate when you come and much better if you also come with a negative PCR test (with less than 72 hours).

-If you are not vaccinated, you can also travel! as long as you go with a negative PCR test (less than 72 hours).

-If you have been infected, you can also travel, but you have to bring a medical certificate (signed and stamped) of when your infection occurred and your recovery, apart from bringing a negative PCR test (with less than 72 hours).

For more detailed information, doubts, questions or comments, we are at your service. Just contact us

Hand sanitizer is accessible and freely available, including surface disinfectants, antiviral sprays, wipes, face masks, and gloves. However, you, as a responsible and conscious traveler, should bring your hygiene equipment.

We are operating with a certain number of empty seats, allowing extra physical distance; actually, all of our transport systems will be using just its 50% capacity.

In all of our journeys, the frequently touched surfaces inside your coach (including doors, handrails, overhead lockers, and even your luggage handles) are disinfected multiple times each day all the time of the journey, as well as the air filters (replaced regularly).

Your expert tour leader (recently trained and certified in enhanced hygiene and social distancing standards) is responsible for all suppliers’ quality assurance during the journey.

We are very selective about who we partner up with. Hotels, restaurants, ground handlers, and venues that take our guests’ well-being seriously as we do and agree to meet standard guidelines and specifications.

Safe travels & your well-being checks ensure that all of our travel partners meet international & local regulations.

Since the pandemic began, no international travel insurance had coverage in case of infection, however; now there are several insurances that can help you. The current recommendation is that if you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask to take care of a person with COVID-19, or in a destination with widespread community transmission and when physical distance is difficult. However, in some destinations, it may be compulsory to wear a mask in public or certain places; in these cases, we are following the local health authorities’ requirements.

You need to source your masks from home (FFP2). We recommend that you familiarize yourself with how to wear, handle and dispose of them.

We are working with our partners to provide hand sanitizer at accommodations, transport, and restaurants. But we also recommend bringing your supplies.

Our journeys are based on twin share accommodation. Most of them have a single supplement available for solo travelers who do not wish to share a room.
