As a prelude for the important Mayan date of the Equinox or Solstice in the great plaza of the majestic sacred site of Tikal and make a truly unforgettable and remarkable journey.
This is our own initiative in conjunction with our closest Mayan spiritual guides (time keepers). So if you and your family or community want to share with us these epic celebrations of native indigenous peoples in original towns and powerful Mayan sites, you are more than welcome to join us and share with us.

Welcome by our team at the Aurora International Airport (GUA) and private transportation (at any time) to the beautiful and colonial City in ruins of La Antigua Guatemala (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a magical town full of charm and probably the most visited one in the country.
Free time to explore (try to arrive before 5 pm to enjoy the sunset in Antigua with tea, coffee, or drinks), rest, and prepare ourselves for our upcoming transformative journey. Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Antigua.

Aldous Huxley’s described Atitlan as “too much of a good thing, it touches the limit of the permissibly picturesque,” and we know that you will just love it too.
Early morning breakfast and the beginning of our journey through the Mayan highlands, most known as the sectors of our indigenous Mayan culture alive. Areas surrounded by beautiful landscapes of mountains, volcanoes, indigenous communities, and all kinds of crops until the town of Panajachel. It is located on the shores of Atitlan and where we will take our boat and cross the Lake’s crystalline waters until the village of San Marcos la La Laguna. A small, holistic and healer indigenous town.
Followed by the Cerro Tzankujil hike (a local sacred and protected area) for our coca and fire ceremony guided by a Mayan elder spiritual guide or Aj Q’ij to connect with the spirit of the cacao and to know more about ourselves by a series of talk about the mayan calendar and our nahual (or alter ego) reading. Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Atitlan.

Activities: Panajachel sightseeing, Boat ride (Lake Atitlan), San Marcos, La Laguna (Cocoa and fire ceremony and ancient workshops).
Early morning boat transportation to San Pedro La Laguna’s beautiful town, located on the slopes of one of the three great guardians of the Lake, the San Pedro volcano. Ascension of the volcano accompanied by hot coffee and delicious snacks and a place where we can definitely see one of the best views of the beautiful and magical Lake Atitlán. Descent of the volcano, local breakfast and the visit of this mayan indigenous Tzutujil town.
Boat ride back to San Marcos for the experience of the Mayan sauna or Temazcal (the house of hot stones), whose ancestral purpose is therapeutic. Seeking relaxation and detoxification of our body and calm for our mind until finding inner peace, followed by a traditional massage. Actually, after everything that we had done before, it was time to relax and pamper ourselves. Overnight in a comfortable Hotel in Atitlan.

Typical morning breakfast and free time to explore our beautiful surroundings. Boat ride to Panajachel, time for lunch and our transportation back to Guatemala city airport to take our quick local flight to the northern jungles of El Peten and then the visit of the beautiful and picturesque Isla de Flores, located in the middle of the crystal clear waters of the Peten Itza Lake for our nights’ accommodation. Overnight in a comfortable Hotel in Isla de Flores.

Activities: Quick-local flight to Flores (FRS) and Isla de Flores sightseeing.
Breakfast and transportation to Tikal, a magical place full of mysticism which history begins around 2000 years A.C. and today archaeologists are still working on the site, finding day to day more evidence of our ancient and wise civilization.
In Tikal we will connect with its mysticism, divine magic and decipher the greatest mysteries and enigmas of this impressive civilization as you walk through its dense jungle full of flora, fauna and spirits. Among its impressive structures excels the Great Jaguar (or Temple 1) an icon for the mayas, located in the Central Acropolis, Temple 2 (or the Masks), the Lost World, the Window Palace and the Temple 4 (or the two headed serpent) that it’s one of the tallest pre-Colombian structures of all the Americas.
On this special occasion we will have the chance to celebrate the important equinox or solstice which for the Mayans has always been a key date, about honoring and celebrating life. Ancient legends tell us that on this date the sun throws its powerful rays at the pyramids of the Central Plaza of Tikal, splitting them into 2 perfect halves, one in light and the other in shadows, thus announcing the arrival of winter and the descent of the great Kukulcán (the snake God of the Mayas), to fertilize the land and start a new cycle. Lunch, afternoon transfer back to la Isla de Flores and our quick-local flight back to Guatemala.
And because it is your last night, we are going to have a perfect time celebrating life, taking you out for a delicious and special goodbye dinner. Overnight in a comfortable Hotel in Guatemala City.

Activities: Sacred fire special ceremony at Tikal, quick-local flight to Guatemala city (GUA) and our special goodbye diner.
Morning breakfast and our final transfer to the Airport to be there 3 hours before our departure time. Goodbye from our team and until the next time!
