Welcome by your team at the Aurora International Airport (GUA) and transportation to the cosmopolitan and colonial City of La Antigua Guatemala (UNESCO World Heritage Site), a “pueblo magico” full of charm and probably the most visited one in the country.
Free and easy time to explore your colonial surroundings (try to arrive before midday to enjoy the sunset in Antigua with tea, coffee, or drinks), begin to connect with the local people and international community, and prepare yourself for your upcoming adventure travel in Guatemala.

Morning typical breakfast and the beginning of your adventure travel in Guatemala through the Mayan highlands, most known as the sectors of the indigenous Mayan culture alive. Areas surrounded by beautiful landscapes of mountains, volcanoes, indigenous communities, and all kinds of crops until the city of Huehuetenango.
Lunch in town, and the continuation of your journey towards the Candelaria cenotes, free and easy time to connect with your unique surroundings and to hike and swim in the crystal clear waters of these unique cenotes.
At night, get ready for a bonfire and a delicious camping dinner under the light of the Mayan moon.

Wake up at one of the furthermost west parts of Guatemala and with a natural spring by the side of your camp, this is how this morning is going to welcome you.
Get out of your tent whenever you feel ready and enjoy a local camping breakfast, or just grab your swimsuit and jump in the Cenotes for a fresh start of the day!
Around midday, and after a good swim and a deep exploration of your natural surroundings, you are going to continue your way to the finca Chacula, a very important site for the indigenous communities of the Mayan highlands with a sacred lagoon and mayan archaeological remains on site.
There is so much to be discovered around here, with its vast history and mystical energy, you are definitely going to experience a day in one of the most magical places in Guatemala.
Hot dinner is going to be served at an old mountain hut preserved by the indigenous locals which serves as the main house for the guests in Finca Chacula. So get ready to connect with your local hosts and guides who are going to share their knowledge about the place and all the magical culture that is within.

Start your day with a mystic fog characteristic of your unique surroundings and experience a locally prepared breakfast by your community hosts, then hop on into your 4×4 vehicles and ride to your first destination of the day, “El Hoyo del Cimarron”, a truly unique natural formation in Guatemala and the world.
El Hoyo del Cimarron (or the Cimarron Hole) is a formation by eroded rock which then collapsed and left a gigantic 80mt deep hole into the earth with a beautiful forest growing in its bottom. So get ready to explore and connect with it before you depart to the second destination of the day, the astonishing Laguna Brava.
Laguna Brava is the biggest lagoon in the country and a very special place which stands out because of its virgin and wild feeling. With local and international tourism being very limited around here, this place is truly very untouched and totally out of the map of the regular tourist brochure.
If you are more of the laid back type, you can easily chill-out at your fully equipped campground and enjoy the beautiful scenery that this place offers, or if you are more of an adventurous spirit, you can explore your wild nature surroundings and get amazed by the magic of this place.
Camping hot dinner served next to a bonfire for you to engage with one of the most pristine places in the Mayan highlands.

Camp base typical breakfast with hot coffee at the shores of the lagoon and get ready to hop on the wooden boats handled by the much respected local paddlers which are going to ensure you a magical journey through the mystical waters of Laguna Brava.
You are going to finish at the opposite end of the lagoon and begin your hike to discover the hidden Cenotes, having the full day at your disposal, you are going to have enough time to go slowly through the 3 cenotes around here, and engage with their powerful energy. Plus the opportunity to do snorkeling in them you are going to experience one of the entrances of the Mayan underworld or “Xibalba” like never before in a tropical paradise.
Lunch at the third cenote and a late afternoon boat ride back to your camp base to enjoy the last night under the Mayan moon with a very special dinner made using ancient cooking knowledge, techniques and just the materials provided by mother earth for an authentic and off the beaten path taste.

– Be prepared for the tropics and pack multiple changes of clothes:
Clothing for warm and hot weather during the day: two pairs of pants, two pairs of shorts, three changes of shirts, a rain poncho, a swimsuit, and a sweater or jacket to wear at night. Walking shoes, hiking boots, sneakers, and sandals are all acceptable.
Quick-dry clothing (especially a pair of convertible pants that zip at the knee to convert into shorts) is recommended for your visit to the tropical areas.
Always bring a towel, and please don’t forget sunblock, bug spray, a flashlight, a sun hat, a lightweight raincoat or poncho, anti-diarrheal medicine, and wet wipes.
